an introduction

So, I suppose it's time to say a little bit about this blog and why I've set it up:

I moved to Brighton in September and since then I have started picking up shopping lists whenever I spot them on the floor in supermarkets, or anywhere else they happen to pop up. I've now accumulated quite a collection and I am planning to create a mini-project about them (or using them) at some point.

They are really rather interesting objects and it's nice to notice the differences between a very neat & organised list and the ones that are a lot more messy and confusing. I also love the different scraps of paper that people choose to write their lists on.

This blog is a place for me to catalogue my collection and also somewhere for show and tell (just in case there is anyone else out there who is keen on lists - i'm sure there must be some of you!)

So, that's it for now. I'll post more information, and a LOT more lists, very soon.

a very short list

I seem to be finding lists much more often when I'm strolling about town these days (no doubt because I am on the lookout now). This mini list was found outside Churchill Square in Brighton today.

outside the pavilion

i found this list last thursday on the floor outside the brighton pavilion.
much more interesting than finding one inside a supermarket i think.
